OHIP Billing Tip #17 - Stale Dated Claims


Submitting Stale Dated Claims
Please note that to submit stale claims (claims over 6 months old) the user must first send a written request to the claims services Branch Manager.

Only once the user receives written approval back from the Manager they can then submit stale claims. The stale dated claims will not be accepted by the Ministry if the user does not receive prior approval.

Please note that once the user has received the approval to submit the stale claims, the claims can be submitted as per usual through the software.
