How much does OHIP medical billing software cost

Question

Hi MDBilling

I am potentially interested in trying out your medical billing software and was wondering if
you could answer some questions I have.

On the OHIP medical billing pricing page, examples 1 and 2 that are given, they both seem to have a payment from the Ministry of Health of $100 less than the submitted billings. Why is that? Is this a fee that your service takes per monthly billing submission?

Also, if there is a maximum capped fee of $600/year if I do my own billings, and the first $15,000 of billings in included in the free trial, does that equal out to the maximum fee being reached at the first $45,000 of billings for the year?

Thanks!

Thank you for your interest in our services. Below are the answer to your questions. OHIP software pricing can be complicated but we've made it simple. Here's what you need to know.

1. We chose arbitrarily the amount of $100. Typically, the amount you submit to the Ministry of Health is not the amount you receive payment the next month. This is due to rejections of incorrect patient information, service codes mismatches etc..

2. If you are performing your OWN billings, your fee is 0.25% (zero point two five percent) of the amount you are paid. The first $15,000 of your billings is free of charge, so essentially, you can try using our software but won't get charged. We cap our fee at $600/ calendar year.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
