Questions about MDBilling Service Fee

Originally from ticket #114.

I am potentially interested in trying out your software and was wondering if
you could answer some questions I have.

On the Pricing Page, the examples 1 and 2 that are given, they both seem to
have a payment from the Ministry of Health of $100 less than the submitted
billings. Why is that? Is this a fee that your service takes per monthly
billing submission?

Also, if there is a maximum capped fee of $600/year if I do my own billings,
and the first $15,000 of billings in included in the free trial, does that
equal out to the maximum fee being reached at the first $45,000 of billings
for the year?

Finally, my friend currently uses your program and introduced me to it.
Would she be given any discount for referring me?

I forgot to ask another question. For patients who do not have OHIP, does
your program help generate invoices to bill them directly? If so, does it
also have the ability to generate invoices with the OMA suggested fees for
the services rendered?

Thank you for your interest in our services. Below are answer to your

1. We chose arbitrarily the amount of $100. Typically, the amount you
subumit to the Ministry of Health is not the amount you receive payment
the next month. This is due to rejections of incorrect patient
information, service codes mismatches etc..

2. If you are performing your OWN billings, your fee is 0.25% (zero point
two five percent) of the amount you are paid. We invoice on a quarterly
basis, so we look at how much you got paid in the last 3 months, then apply
0.25% as our fees. The first $15,000 of your billings is free of charge, so
essentially, you can try using our software but won't get charged.

We cap our fee at $600/ calendar year.

At this time, we do not provide referral discounts for doing your OWN
billings. It is only available for our "full service"
where we are your billing agent.

Please let me know if you have any questions.>
