Questions About MCEDT/Gosecure

Follow

Hi,

I’m in the OR tomorrow and will try but perhaps you can address some of my questions by email:

I have an MCEDT/Gosecure account. What MCEDT/Gosecure information do you need?

Can you tell me more about the security of patient data? Encryption? Server location?

I think my district office is now Oshawa even though my practice is in Ottawa and Ottawa used to be the office. Any idea?

I’m in a group and add a code (XXXX) to my billing claims. Is this a ‘group’ code?

How long have you been doing this and roughly how many physicians?

I’m not sure what’s meant by ‘subscriber’ in your agreements.

Thanks

J,

Answer to your questions:
I have anMCEDT/Gosecure account. What EDT information do you need?
--> LOGIN and password

Can you tell me more about the security of patient data? Encryption? Server
location?
--> We encrypt all data transmitted and stored with a minimum of 256 bit
encryption.

I think my district office is now Oshawa even though my practice is in
Ottawa and Ottawa used to be the office. Any idea?
--> You will need to confirm with your district office. Ensure you have the
correct district office, otherwise, your claims will be lost, and not paid.

I’m in an group and add a code (xxx) to my billing claims. Is this a
‘group’ code?
--> Correct.  That is your group designation we can setup in your profile.

How long have you been doing this and roughly how many physicians?
--> 4+ years, we have over 100 physicians.

I’m not sure what’s meant by ‘subscriber’ in your agreements.
--> Subscriber = End user = person entering the claims = physician (most of
the time)

Thanks.
Can I add you as a designee to myMCEDT/Gosecure account.

Where are patient data stored? Ontario? US?

J,

Yes, you will have to add us a designee to edt04@mdbilling.ca

All of our data is stored in Ontario.
