MCEDT, security and district office information

Questions

I’m in the OR tomorrow and will try but perhaps you can address some of my questions by email:

I have an MCEDT/Gosecure account. What MCEDT/Gosecure information do you need? Can I add you as a designee to myMCEDT/Gosecure account.

Can you tell me more about the security of patient data? Encryption? Server location?

I think my district office is now Oshawa even though my practice is in Ottawa and Ottawa used to be the office. Any idea?

I’m in a group and add a code (XXXX) to my billing claims. Is this a ‘group’ code?

--> LOGIN and password. You can add us as a designee using edt05@mdbilling.ca

--> We encrypt all data transmitted and stored with a minimum of 256-bit SSL
encryption.  Your data is protected both at rest in our servers and in transit from your device to your servers. All data is secured in a Canadian data center and your information is backed up hourly. You can all add two-factor authentication to further harden your account.

--> You will need to confirm with your district office. Ensure you have the correct district office.

I’m in a group and add a code (xxx) to my billing claims. Is this a
‘group’ code?
--> Correct.  That is your group designation we can set up in your profile.
