TM6 - Telemedicine registration not in effect on service date

Background:

The TM6 error code will be issued if the service date of a telemedicine billing is prior to the physician’s telemedicine registration effective date or after the physician’s telemedicine registration end date.

Solution:

If the date of service is incorrect, the physician should correct the date of service and resubmit the telemedicine billing. If the service date is correct, the physician should contact the Ministry of Health and OTN to confirm the telemedicine registration effective date and/or end date as applicable and check if there has been an administrative error. The rejected billing can then be resubmitted when OTN has confirmed with the physician that the telemedicine registration effective and/or end date has been amended.
