OHIP Error Code - A36 - Claimed by Other Practitioner

Background:

Another physician has claimed this consultation code.

Solution:

When receiving "A36" rejection in the RA (payment report), you will need to bill a lower-paying code (e.g., if originally billed a Consultation, then resubmit with a Medical Specific Assessment).  Alternatively, if the patient is seen for a second time with a clearly defined unrelated diagnosis, consider billing the same service code again, but with a different diagnosis code (Dx).  Refer to the Schedule of Benefits section GP12 for more details.
