Validating an OHIP Health Card

Our system can validate the version code provided.
 
The HCV (Health Card Validation) messages populate based on a live connection with the Ministry's health card database. 
 
When the system populates a message indicating the version code or health card is 'invalid', you will have to contact your patient to obtain the updated version code. Submitting a claim with an invalid code will be rejected with an error code "EH2 - Invalid version code"
 
The Ministry of Health does not provide updated version codes through the HCV feature. 
 

HCV Offline

Once in a while, you may find that the HCV system is offline. This is usually due to maintenance and it's only for a short period of time. Unfortunately, in this case, you will need to wait until the system comes back online. The linked article has more details.
